The EANx course is a no decompression diving course. The course teaches the student the use of Nitrox tables while breathing Nitrox mixes. 21% through 40%
The NOAA oxygen exposure table is the prime calculation guide at Basic Nitrox level.
How does this course differ from a course offered by a recreational dive shop?
This Nitrox course is a much more in-depth program, designed for the diver looking for a strong background in Nitrox or considering taking additional technical
diver programs. EAD, Oxygen Toxicity, Exposure Limits and O2 Exposure percentage uptakes and half life are looked at in more detail. We've had nitrox
instructors who have Phd's tell us this info is NOT included in their PADI courses.
The EANx Diver qualification may be taught as a single Program or combined with a variety of Advanced or Specialty Diver Programs.
